For 2023: Intimacy & Community

At the start of every year, I set an intention for how I'd like my practice to evolve. Last year, I focused more on my own personal healing as I was in need of soul nourishing from all the symbolic deaths. My body physically felt weakened and drained, but things are improving and last year felt like a dawn in my life.

This year I hope to focus more on healthy intimacy and of course self-love is tied into this. With so much discourse taking place about modern dating and relationships, I hope to contribute a sense of healthy intimacy to this. I grew up led to believe that I'm not worthy of one day having a healthy, loving marriage. I've been told that I frankly don't fit the societal norm with my physical appearance but the most damaging is when I was called "undateable" and "not marriage material" by both former barters, men, and former female friends.

Deconstructing these internalized projections from others honestly led me to many discoveries but one being that I hope to apply a sense of feeling wanted and not needed. When we push people outside of the space of communal acceptance, we deny an intimacy that we are all entitled to. Intimacy isn't just reserved for sex.

I hope to continue on shadow / soul retrievals, and to emphasize inner child and healthy maternal energy through soul medicine and channeled readings on here in the form of pick a card readings.

I am setting an intention of community and healthy intimacy, since community and intimacy cannot exist without each other.
